My working life has been divided between the UK and New Zealand. 

The paintings and ceramics allow, for me, a perfect working balance

and are inextricably linked. Not only in the obvious sense of ceramic

images being present in the paintings as markers of history,

but also in the division between art and craft and their philosophical

differences. My paintings are mostly acrylic on both stretched and un-stretched canvas. For ceramics I work across the temperature ranges, techniques and clays.

I am interested in the ideas of visual/verbal, identity/place,

memory/trace.
